Daman Ganga River Banks in Vapi

One of the beautiful sites in Vapi is the Daman Ganga River Bank. It is flooded with tourists throughout the year. The Daman Ganga River not only flows through Maharashtra and Gujarat, but also through the two Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. Finally, it merges and falls into the Arabian Sea. The scenic beauty of the riverbank makes it suitable for picnics and excursions.

GIDC Garden in Vapi

The city has a few city parks and gardens. The Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation Garden is the most prominent one in Vapi. As the name indicates, this garden was established by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation. Basically, it is a jogger’s park with lush green vegetation. As it is surrounded with open fields, the GIDC Garden is ideal for children to play in the evenings. Apart from this garden, the Mora-bhagda Ambhura Park and the Vanganga Lakeview Park at 185 Gujarat State Highway are also worth visiting.

Temples in Vapi

Vapi has many temples and religious shrines. One of them is the Mahalaxmi Temple. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Goddess Laxmi. The idol of the deity is very charming and captivating. Apart from this, the Shiv temple located at Asopalav Road is another famous religious spot in Vapi. Devotees of Lord Shiva gather here daily to perform worship. However, the temple is much crowded on occasions like Shivratri. Besides this, there is another temple devoted to Lord Shiva at Chanod. This ancient edifice is called the Chaneshwar Temple. The old temple has gone through renovations recently. It is well maintained by the Chanod Yuva Mandal. As the temple is situated on the top of a mountain, it is much admired for its picturesque beauty. Other famous places of worship that are worth seeing are the Jain Temple, Sai Ram Temple and the Hanuman Temple.
